Calvyx ("we", "our", or "us") is an AI-powered nutrition and health tracking app. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We take your health data seriously — it belongs to you.
Account Information
When you sign in with Google or email, we collect your email address and a unique user ID. This is used solely to identify your account and sync your data across devices.
Health & Fitness Data
Calvyx reads the following from Apple HealthKit with your explicit permission:
This data is used to display personalised insights inside the app. It is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any purpose other than showing you your own health picture.
Food Photos & Nutrition Logs
When you scan a meal, your photo is sent to our secure server, which uses Google's Gemini AI to estimate nutritional content. Photos are processed in transit — we do not store your food photos permanently. The resulting nutrition data (calories, macros) is saved to your account so you can track your history.
Profile Data
Goal, gender, age, height, weight, and activity level — entered during onboarding to calculate your daily calorie target. All optional, all editable or deletable at any time.
Purchase History
Subscription status is managed through RevenueCat. We store whether you are a subscribed user; we do not have access to your payment card details.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.
Calvyx uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:
Calvyx reads HealthKit data only after you grant permission on your device. We do not write data back to HealthKit. HealthKit data is never used for advertising, sold to third parties, or shared outside of the app's core functionality. This policy is consistent with Apple's HealthKit guidelines.
Your account data (profile, meal logs, nutrition history) is stored as long as you have an account. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Your data is stored in Google Firebase, which complies with industry-standard security practices. Access to Calvyx's backend is protected by Firebase Authentication — only you can access your data.
Calvyx is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify you through the app. Continued use of Calvyx after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
